Word Life is God Life
In life we will come to bridges, walls, and elevators. All these structures are by design because they provide a service. Life is full of obstacles and obstructions; therefore there is a necessity for things that allow us to travel and traverse life with more ease. We can also use these structures and conveniences as illustrations to derive principles for living life spiritually. God has always illustrated the spiritual by using spiritual metaphors or comparisons. How we do this is through our ability to point out a particular similarity between to different objects and objectives. For instance using a bridge as an illustration; the phrase building bridges in relationships describes the ability to bridge a gap. Metaphors that use the natural to describe a social or spiritual principle are a great way to communicate. Jesus often taught using metaphors or parables.
When we are regenerated through the blood of Christ; we are born of the Word and the Spirit. At that point in time we become new creatures with a spiritually renewed mind that puts life’s issues in spiritual perspective from a biblical view. We are intellectually intelligent spirit and soul. We begin to consume spiritual information for the purpose of living spiritually in obedience to the Word of God. It is obviously evident that there can be no information without intelligence: God is the ultimate intelligence. He provides the information for our consumption so that we might live according to his design for our lives. God also still has a voice and if he wishes can speak audibly, through unction, and though dreams and visions. His desire is that we will also speak his written word which is called “logos” in the Greek language or by his unction which is called a “rhema” word which is usually within the confines of the word of knowledge, the word of wisdom, or a edifying, correcting, or reproof. We are all called to be witnesses of the Word and messengers of the Kingdom of Heaven.
To speak plausibly, plainly, and precisely is evidence of intelligence to communicate and construct an ideal successfully in the mind of another individual is evident of intelligence. The fact that there is investigation is evident that intelligence is inherent and intrinsic and therefore essential to existence! For instance when we want to present God as Creator to an audience searching for truth and proof we use ontology or the “nature of being” we go to the first three chapters of Genesis and the first chapter of Romans. Then we might also direct our conversation to creation science: the interpretation of scientific knowledge in accord with belief in the literal truth of the Bible, especially regarding the creation of matter, life, and humankind in six days. Again I reiterate there can be no information without intelligence and without the intelligence of God there would be no intelligence in the mind of man.
For instance we read in Genesis how God created Adam and infuse with his breath an intellect in Adam which caused him to immediately understand complex dynamics and to even name every living creature. Wow! Evolution depicts mankind as some single cell ameba that managed to crawl out of a slime pit eons and eons ago and slowly developed a complex system of thinking by evolving into completely different creatures which took millions and millions of years with each evolution. But God created man in his own image and breathed into him a living soul “nephesh”
Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Gen 2:7)
The word for breath in this scripture is the Hebrew word “neshâmâh” it can be defined as divine inspiration or intellect. The whole narrative serves to prove that creation is by design which involves intelligence! The uncreated Creator designed and created all we know to be corporeal and breathed life into his created creatures. God is the uncreated Creator; I will submit to his Authority: I serve him at his pleasure! My God is real; he’s real in my soul, for he gave me new life and made me whole. I see Him in creation and I’ve seen Him work in my own life! I have an intellect because God breathed the breath of life into me one night at an old fashion altar of prayer. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
