TURNING TRAGEDY INTO TRIUMPH
Forsaking all else follow Christ first and foremost, he is your eternity, everything else will only pale in comparison to the glory to be shared with Him in the life to come.
Many things in this present life are important; family, friends, and different interests which infatuate us, the ability to work out a living and provide for ourselves. Time spent on these important parts of life are never a waste of time; especially when they are center around a relationship with God. An amazing God who has the providence to foreknow, foresee, and forego; for us those tools, principles, and provisions which cause us to develop strong and lasting families, careers, and societies which flourish as we apply them to our individual lives.
However, Jesus made a statement concerning things which befall us as humans. He simply stated that “ it rains upon the just and the unjust alike “. Tragedy happens to the rich, the poor, the just, and the wicked. As humans we cannot foresee many of those interruptions of the mishaps which can destroy any part of our lives. A sudden or lengthy death of a loved one, a loss of a job, or the break down and divorce of a marriage, the loss of financial income due to whatever reason. These are just a few of those things which have a powerful negative impact upon our lives. But I have found that solution to being triumphant over these tragedies is a well grounded relationship with Christ Jesus!
I see within the present Church the need for a real spiritual awakening. The kind that transforms and conforms individuals into the image and likeness of Jesus Messiah.
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth describes the desires, the prevalent, and the important things an individual harbors within. When there is barely the mention of biblical doctrines, spiritual realities, or the exaltation of God, one can only surmise that a person cares more about those temporal things which pass with their passing and are the important things which they value the most.
The unfortunate reality of the present age is that much of Christianity is superficial. Mental ascent is not the reflection of whole hearted dedication. Yes, the things which we go through are important, the different areas of life each have their demands, but the first focus and premise of each day should be founded and grounded in a relationship with the Holy One from who all life flows and from who all things are made, even we ourselves are the products of his own creation. Our priority should be to practice a faith that lauds Him at every opportune time, that because of Him all things are held together and by Him all things consist.
Soul Rest and Spiritual Rejuvenation are products of time spend well in the presence of the Lord. Then when trial and tragedy do come, we have an anchor, a stabilizing element in our lives which can hold us steady until the storm is over. Just knowing that there is a God who loves us abundantly should bring us solace, a soulful rest and push us toward spiritual rejuvenation that causes us to be triumphant when tragedy comes our way. Most of don’t realize it, but when tragedy comes it may be the end of one thing that we been so accustomed to, but it is in fact a new beginning for our faith to rise to a new level of intensity and our relationship with God to grow to a new level of intimacy.
Brethren keep the faith today by preparing yourselves to turn your tragedies into triumphs and intensify your spiritual walk with Christ. Allow the Holy Spirit to refill and re-fire you when the trials, travesties, and tragedies of life in this realm come your way. Your faith which operates through the love of Christ will then enable you to turn every tragedy into a triumph as you express the joy of serving the Lord with a whole heart knowing that life is more than this realm, we shall live eternally with the King of Kings! The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; who is the God of the Living and not of the dead.
