STINK’N LIAR
The Devil is a Liar and the Father of Deception. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but glory! Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly….Never listen to the devil, he will always tell you the skin of truth stuffed with a lie….He disguises himself with half truths so that he may deceive many. Jesus on the other hand is upright, outright, and totally right in all things, he will never lie to us or deceive us.
The devil goes about acting like a roaring lion seeking whom it might scare into submission. Let’s look at this dynamic and just how the devil uses fear and intimidation tactics on us.
...
When it comes to the issues of life, what is happening is usually the very thing we tend to make the most vocal. Let’s say that for instance you’re at a stop light waiting on the light to turn green, the car behind you keeps pulling closer and the driver keeps revving its engine in participation. The next thing you know you’ve got your focus on what’s happening behind you; you are watching the rear view mirror, then the light turns green and now you have an angry driver behind you honking the horn making matters worse, you put your foot to the peddle with heated aggravation going forward but still thinking about the incident which is now recent history. This is distraction brought on my intimidation for the purpose of diverting your blessings by keeping you in the flesh so your focus is not forward.
The bible teaches us to cast down those imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and then bring them into captivity or in other words to put those thoughts in prison.
Too many times we allow a present situation or circumstance cause us to be impatient and then act by impulse. When we are impulsive we are usually the most irrational and tend to make irrational spur of the moment decisions which lead us into worse situations. God would have us to meditate upon his word and to allow his Spirit to help us to have the serenity which comes through His calming presence, and the wisdom to be preemptive concerning those unexpected circumstances which provoke the worse in us.
He will guide us into all truth. He is the one who gave John to unction to write “ Beloved brethren I wish above all things that thou prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers “. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly! Hallelujah! Amen!
