ARE YOU CLEANSED
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1st John 1:9 MKJV
One un-confessed sin, can become a secret sin, and a secret sin begins to effect every area of one’s life. How? Because of the effort which goes into hiding that secret sin, which involves deception through lies which hide that sin, and the fact that one acts like they are okay, when in factuality they’re not. This is dangerous ground for one can come to a place where their sin is willful, intentional, and presumptuous. The bible emphatically declares this kind of sin a sin which points that person to the road of apostasy.
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26 MKJV
Therefore my brethren are you cleansed today? Are you confessing your faults to the Father and allowing Him to cleanse you daily. It is our responsibility to go to the Father in prayer confessing our sins with the purpose of forsaking those sins and receiving the application of the blood of Christ to cleanse us of the effects of those sins and become accountable to God and the Church of God.
Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you;
and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2nd Corinthians 6:17- 7: 1 MKJV
The word commands it does not make a request, but commands us to be part of the process of sanctification by our participation. We are responsible by an act of our own will to separate ourselves from external and internal sins that contaminate our walk with the Lord. We are empowered through the Holy Spirit to set a standard of holiness that shows our awful and referential fear of God. Our Father has made a provision once and for all so that if we do sin.
My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
And He is the propitiation concerning our sins, and not concerning ours only, but also concerning the sins of all the world.
And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments.
He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him. 1st John 2:1-5 MKJV
God is ready to allot grace for sincere penitence, the confession of a sin or sins and the abandonment of that sin. Confess it, Repent of it, and then Forsake it with the intention of never sinning in that area again. God is a gracious God who provides an Advocate who defends us to cleanse us from all of our unrighteousness.
Brethren keep the faith today by searching yourself truthfully to see if you are hiding a secret sin and thereby producing more sin by doing so, then go to the Father in repentance and confess it to Him, the blood of Jesus shall cleanse you from all unrighteousness helping you to perfect holiness in the fear of God, then the faith will keep you in the favor of God and the manifold blessings of God will flow into your life in abundance.
