TO LIVE IS CHRIST TO DIE IS GAIN!
Be what you expect out of others it’s not Christ like to demand what you’re not willing to be yourself!
Every time one compromises their values; their conscience becomes weaker little by little until they have no consciousness of those values. They may indeed give lip service to them; but they have no resolve to live them any longer. This is what the bible means when it talks about God giving people over to a reprobate mind. To love Christ is to love his word; to embrace it with a whole heart and to determine oneself to apply it to their lives.
Have you ever seen a person slander another person for doing something they blatantly do themselves? These people are aware of those inconsistencies or sins practiced by others and become bothered to the point of anger and maliciousness against them. Yet they profusely practice the very same thing in similar fashion and are offended when it is pointed it out! Impatience and impulsiveness are not great running mates; when we consider the wisdom of the word.
We are exhorted to be quick; quick to hear! We when act out of impatience it’s usually not in a responsible way. Often the immature act out of impulse they’re spontaneous without maturity and their reactions are based more in emotion than intellect. The word of God teaches us that when we do get angry do not allow it to fester into sinful wrath or rage.
One can be brilliant at a profession and still be inept at people skills when it comes to interaction and communication. When we follow; the guideposts of the word of God; and applying the most glorious rule of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. When love others as we love ourselves in Christ we will be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger in our relationship with people regardless of their shortcomings! Let us be examples not exemptions to those who know us and understand that we are born from above; we’ve been bought with the price of the precious blood of Christ. Selah
